Today's news headlines are frightening. Over 380 million eggs have been recalled across the United States due to suspected salmonella contamination. Salmonella (S. enteritidis) is a foodborne bacteria that can cause illness and even death in humans. The CDC suspects that hundreds of recent cases of salmonella poisoning can be attributed to eggs.
